How to print shipping labels at home
Printing a shipping label at home means buying postage online, downloading a PDF, and attaching it yourself. You do not need a post office clerk to create the barcode.
Do this first
- Create the label in Oshippy (addresses, packed details, live rate).
- Choose letter PDF (8.5×11) or 4×6 thermal at checkout.
- Download the file from the success screen or your dashboard.
Print settings that matter
- Actual size / 100% scale — do not “fit to page” if it shrinks the barcode.
- Dark enough that the barcode is crisp.
- If you use letter paper, tape the label portion flat on the largest face.
Attach it so it scans
Cover the label with clear tape or a pouch. Do not tape across the barcode in a wrinkled stripe. Do not fold the barcode over an edge. Keep old Amazon barcodes covered so the sortation machine does not read the wrong one.
